Dec 22,2008 Trail work crews’ long hours and hard work get the trails cleaned up Several volunteers dedicated their weekends and spare time; some donated the service of their equipment. All was needed to complete trail repairs and then clean up after the ice storm of Dec 12, 08. We thank all that helped on these trail work crews; for their perseverance supports the existence of our snowmobile trail system.
		November 08: Heavy equipment, supplies, and manpower used to construct a new bridge and other needed trail repairs
		December 08: Unexpected problems from an ice storm need to be resolved before finishing the prior trail maintenance.
Dec 20, 08 New York State Parks; Youth and Adult Safe Riders Snowmobile Course 24 students attended the class on Saturday December 20, 2008 at the Hoosic Valley Fire House. The students from Rensselaer, Washington, and Albany counties all passed and were rewarded Snowmobile Safe Riders Certificates. Lunch and refreshments was provided by the Rensselaer County SnowRiders. We thank the Hoosic Valley Fire Company for providing the location, Brownell’s Yamaha for loaning two snowmobiles, and the volunteer Snowmobile Safety instructors for their time.
